On 5th October 2014 Nathan and Aaron Lewis ran the Cardiff Half Marathon and raised £286! Well done guys
Angela Pallas joined friends on a cycle ride from Edinburgh Castle to Newcastle and decided to turn it into a fundraising Event. Angela raised a great £301!
Charlotte Scott took on tunning ran the Wirral Half Marathon and raised £650 for IIH UK, Thank you.
IIH UK member Steph Munn held a wonderful fundraising and IIH awareness event at Edge Hill University on 21 October. Armed with both fabulous cakes and IIH UK leaflets, Steph assisted by her brother Karl and good friend Nicky raised an amazing £235! Thanks Steph, you are a star!
Izzie Grant held 2 bake sales in September 2014 at Benton Hall and all the goodies looked lovely. Thank you for the fundrasing and awareness.
During September 2014 awareness month you all raised a massive £1600.59 via the text number.
We saw people doing zip wires, taking parts in ice bucket challenges, brain freeze challenges, raising their glasses to IIH. You did an amazing job.

Steph Sinclair is put her fear of heights aside and completed a skydive for IIH UK. Steph wrote 'I did it, I jumped!' and in doing so she raised a wonderful amount of over £1000, well done Steph.

There were some items with bids from the go to the very last second and some buy it now items snapped up quickly which made it fun, as well as making this great total for the charity. A special thankyou goes to Sabrina & Leanne, who worked very hard to set up and run the auction.

A whopping £300 has been raised by Shelley Broughton by shaving her head for IIH UK.

With 'Selfies' making the news in 2014 with people posting their photos without make up and then donation to charity, smaller charitys could have been forgotten but not IIH UK as we had Miki.
Her Facebook post read "Selfie done but I decided to donate to IIH because my cousin suffers from it and not a lot of people are aware of it."
Back in January 2012 Hannah Clarkson Webb raised £3100 by doing a bike ride for her older sister Emily who had been diagnosed with IIH.
Since then Hannah herself has been diagnosed and recently her family and friends have made a wonderful donation of £1730.
Our North East Group held their first fundraising event and raised a wonderful £265.30 for the charity
Claire Everton was the host to a Vintage tea party with hand made card by Marie on sale. As you can see from the photos the North East Lasses joined in with the spirit of of the occasion and look liked they had fun while raising money. Thank you very much!
On 25th February Charlotte Bolton organised a fantastic fundraising night with the very talented Chichester University Chamber Orchestra. Charlotte wanted to raise awareness and fundraise for IIH UK as her cousins Emily & Edward Wilson both have IIH.
A wonderful £173.61 was raised on the night and the music and singers were outstanding.
A fundraising night was held on 2nd Feb 2014 by Ashley Liddell, an IIH sufferer, at the Greater Easterhouse Supporting Hands (G.E.S.H) in Garthamlock, Glasgow. They raised an amazing £1170.30 for IIH UK.

During 2013 a young IIH sufferer Melissa Phillipson (who has been a fabulous fundraiser) came up with the idea of raising money by filling up a Smarties tube with 20p pieces! which people did and then donated to IIH UK. Well done Melissa and everyone who took part.
Elaine Pitt completed the Santa Dash in Liverpool with her husband in Dec 2013 to raise money for IIH UK which is being double by her employer. Once we have the final total we will let you know.

On the 30th Dec 2013 two people made a wonderful fundraising gesture on a very special day, their wedding day. Both James and Claire asked all their wedding guest to donate IIH UK.

IIH UK was nominated by Emma Davis for a Razor Edge Facebook competition where the winner would receive the proceeding from their training competition on 26th Nov at the Wella Studios in Manchester. Everyone pulled together to vote for IIH UK and we won, then Razor Edge went on to make £300 for us.
A big thank you goes to Emma and everyone involved at Razor Edge who also took the time to invite a speaker to the training competition to talk about the charity.
Thank you to Sarah Jayne Breadmore and the Wickham Craft Fair for raising a fantasitic £50.60 from entrance fee donations in aid of IIH UK.
Barbara Mason and Victoria Davies held a bric a brac stall at St Annes Craft Fair in Shevington, Wigan raising £77 and awareness in Nov 2013.
A massive thank you Amanda Seddon and her friends for raising £625 from a collection they did at Hindley Tesco in Wigan on 11th and 12th October 2013.
Scan Computers, Bolton, collected £40.86 in the customer charity pot. They gave their customers Scan branded wristbands free and most chose to leave a donation. Thank you.
Roger Coote, whose daughter Jen has IIH ran the Budapest Marathon in approx 5 hours 8 mins on 13th October to raise money for IIH UK. Thank you very much Roger.
During September 2013 which is IIH Awareness Month, Butterscotch Creations kindly donated 15% from every sale. Thank you.
Marie an IIH sufferer has donated £77 which is part of the sale of goods sold by "Hand made card by Marie." Thank you for your continued support.
Jess Gawn, Katie Parratt and the Colonial Bar raised a massive £1463 for IIH UK by organising THE BIG EVENT in Horndean, Portsmouth. Over 3 days they had a Battle of the bands event, a 60s Extravaganza, a kids party with a disco, pinata and face painting, plus a raffle. Thank you very much to everyone involved.
Victoria Davies and Barbara Mason raised £201 at different Haigh shows in Wigan during August 2013 by having bric a brac stalls.
£116.20 was raised at the Haigh, Aspull and Blackrod Agricultural Show and £84.80 at the Friends of Haigh Family Fun Day.
Victoria said " The Haigh Agricultural Show was a lovely day with people taking an interest in charity, leaving donations rather then buying from the stall and even giving us things to sell. The Mayor of Blackrod even had a go at the lucky dip."

Victoria Davies with the help of Deborah Gregory family and friends had a bric a brac and cake stall at the Shevington and District Community 2013 Fete which was opened by Sue Johnston. They made £122.10 for IIH UK.
Deborah and Victoria met via IIH UK and found doing this fundraising together good fun.
Scan Computers International Ltd in Horwich, Bolton collected £31.51 in a customer collection pot, so thank you to their customers.

Michelle Johnson organised a non school uniform day at Bonhill Primary School on 22nd May and raised a wonderful £195! A big thank you everyone involved for IIH UK.
We sold IIH UK merchandise and the AGM and raffle tickets to the people who attended this years meeting and raised £325.70. A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise the much needed funds, we hope to see you next year.
On 14th July 2013 Laura Hammond and her friends ran the London 10K and raised a massive £920. Thank you very much from everyone at IIH UK and well done to your supporters for cheering you on.

IIH UK are now affiliated with Challenge Scotland! We had some wonderful volunteers who are took part in the 6 Mile Walk and 5k Fun Run for the Christmas challenges.
Our champion challengers raised nearly £800 for IIH UK!
A big thank you to 13 year old Sophie Sellar, who baked cakes at school for IIH UK and raised £90.80. Mum Tracy, who was diagnosed with IIH only 10 week before said she was very proud of her.

Martine Pell shaved off all her hair in a sponsored head shave to raise money for IIH UK, thank you Martine.
At just 11 years old, IIH sufferer Melissa Philipson as to be one of the most courageous fundraisers for IIH UK. Not only as she swam with sharks but Melissa has also took part in a sponsored indoor Sky Drive raising £531.50 for IIH UK. Thank you Melissa
Alison Perry held a fundraiser at work in June for IIH UK.
Alison says 'I work in Eli Lilly's pharmaceutical company headquarters, they enjoy raising money for charity. One idea called "Casual Friday" allows staff to wear casual trousers and donate £1.00 to the "charity of the month". I asked to nominate "IIH UK" for a month.
All through June the staff popped their £1.00 in the pot. On the last day of June, I set up a stand in our restaurant with various posters and leaflets; a laptop to play Lana Mae Garretts battle with IIH and Hayleigh (Alison daughter and an IIH sufferer) to talk about the condition and what it means for sufferers. I truly think she "raised awareness" of IIH in a place of vast medical knowledge in a professional way.
The Lilly staff raised £320 in June 2012 to help IIH UK.
Hayleigh Perry also added her penny jar which raised another £50 towards the charity that supports her condition.
Dave and Neil Shepherd's cycled a massive 110 miles from Glasgow to Edinburgh in just 10½ hours!
Dave's daughter Karen, an IIH sufferer, said, 'So proud of my Dad and Brother after they cycled 110 miles to raise money for IIH UK. They raised an amazing £900, which is being doubled by brother's employer Bibby Offshore - so a huge grand total of £1800 is on its way to IIH UK, without whom I would of struggled to get through these last two years xx'.

Rob Phillips ran the Shire Half Marathon on the 7th October 2012 for IIH UK raising over £200! Rob ran the race for his friend Hayleigh Perry who is an IIH Sufferer. He broke his own personal record for the run. Many thanks Rob!
Jane Woodcock said 'With September being IIH Awareness month I decided to hold a sponsored head shave in preparation for having a VPL shunt inserted.
My hairdresser, who I went to school with, agreed to do the deed and also to help raise funds, was held on 25th September, 2012 at Palmers Hair Designs in Bourne Lincs. The event (before and after) was also covered by 2 local newspapers. My mum did a fantastic job with raising funds and displayed a poster in her front window. Also my Slimming World group helped to raise funds too by plugging the event over the last 3 weeks.After a final totting up I managed to raise £502!' A big thank you to you Jane!
Kayleigh Johnstone organised a fabulous music evening event in Liverpool on 15 September 2012. Kayleigh sweet talked 10 local artists and bands to give their time freely to raise money for IIH UK.
Kayleigh managed to promote both the event and IIH UK on her local radio station and, after an incredible set, the main act KOF agreed to donate money towards the funds from his own CD sales!
The event was packed and was full of fun and laughter; indeed, people have already asked Kayleigh when the next event will be!
The evening was a great success and whilst funds are still being counted, £370 has been raised so far. Thank you Kayleigh!
A big thank you to Kat Curtis who has raised an amazing £395 for her head shave to support her Wife Leeann Curtis who is due her 8th VP Shunt surgery soon.
Lizzie did a run and said 'I'm Running 5K for IIH UK because I want to help people like my mum to get better'. Mum Zoe said 'she was such a brave little girl to complete the run on the Sunday morning as I was taken into hospital on Saturday and so was unable to run with her. Her Uncle Alex jumped in and drove up from Oxford to run with Lizzie, whilst her Dad and little brother cheered her on'.
Lizzie has raised £163 so far and Zoe hopes there may be more to come! A big thank you to Lizzie and her family.
The brave Natalie Markham went ahead with her sponsored Sky Dive for IIH UK!
Natalie says: 'In the time my family have known Lisa, our friendship has grown and we have become the best of friends, but throughout this time we have seen how much IIH effects her daily life and also the effects it has on her husband, two young children aged 6 and 7 and the rest of her close family.'
The event was held on the 26th August 2012, Sibson Airfield. With the help of her friends and family and peoples huge generosity, Natalie raised over £750!! Thank you Natalie!
Mark and Maria Tomes, helped by their daughter, run an IIH UK awareness and fundraising stall at the Church Hill Community Day in Redditch on 15th September 2012 and raised £100!
Richard Tingley and Wesley Coleman friends of Maria & Mark Tomes did a Charity Wax, whereby their legs & chests were waxed to raise funds for IIH UK. on 31st October 2013 at St Andrews Church, Church Hill Centre, Redditch, Worcs.
Maria and Mark have already raised £300 for IIH UK and friends and colleagues have donated a further £200.
Elvis Brown ran the Warrington 10k and raised over £500 for IIH UK. Thank You Elvis!
Lance Clifton ran in the Kent Coastal Marathon for his daughter Lauren who suffers with IIH. Lance raised £630! Thank you Lance!
Sunday 22nd July 2102 was the day for the Great North 10K Run. Taking part for IIH UK was Helen Williamson, Nikki Dodds as well as two of Sainsbury's staff from the Sainsbury's Northumberland Park Store in Shiremoor, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Many thanks to the Sainsbury's staff (picture here to follow) with the IIH UK runners, who presented IIH UK with a Cheque for £220.50.
Stephen Pooley ran the London 10K for his sister Karen who suffers with IIH. He has raised an amazing £865!! Thank you Stephen!
The 1st IIH UK 20 Week Weight Loss challenge was completed at the end of May 2012. The challengers lost an amazing 529lb's between them and raised an astounding £2380!
The winner of the first challenge was Louise Peet who lost 53lb and won the Body Shop Hamper donated by Hayley Simpkins. Congratulations to all who took part and a huge thank you for the funds raised.

On the 14th April 2012, Henley Rugby Football club held a remembrance game for Sarah Hibberd. Sarah suffered with IIH and over 11 months had 22 operations. She sadly passed away in September 2011. Before she became ill Sarah played for the Henley Hawks Ladies Rugby Team.
It was a wonderful day full of love for Sarah and with a huge amount of fundraising. The Club raised an amazing £4100 for IIH UK!
The money from this fundraiser has enabled us to begin setting up the Sarah Hibberd Conferences. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all involved on the day and to Sarah's mother, Elaine Phillpot.

Hannah wanted to raise some money to help her sister Emily who has IIH get better. She decided to bicycle around Clumber Park Lake - quite ambitious for a little girl who only learnt to ride without stabilisers last August!
Hannah completed her bike ride on Saturday 7th January, accompanied by Emily, Richard (dad) and her Grandparents. She cycled approximately 4.5 miles in about an hour.
